A Man of Simplicity and Wisdom
Devotion to "Lok Jivan" (Folk Life)
Dr. Vidya Chand believed that the true culture and thought of a nation are expressed through its folk life. He often said, "If we have to choose between the scripture and the folk, the folk gets the first priority." This belief guided his lifelong path of study.
A Simple, Grounded Life
Despite his high academic achievements and government position, he lived a simple, rustic life. He preferred his ancestral home to a new house and found joy in farming tasks, seeing them as a form of daily exercise and a connection to his roots.
