The Foundation of Our Work
The word "History" (Itihas) itself means "thus it certainly was." It is the impartial presentation of truth. The achievements of the past provide energy and self-confidence, while the mistakes teach us lessons. To this end, the Thakur Ramsingh Itihas Shodh Sansthan was founded to bring to light the 197-crore-year history of humanity, based on the impartial presentation of truth.
A 197 Crore Year History
The history of India does not begin a few thousand years ago but starts from the very point of creation (Hiranyagarbha), spanning 197 crore years. India is the cradle of humanity, with the first human appearing on Mount Sumeru. Therefore, India is the origin of all nations, races, religions, and sciences.
The creator of our universe, Shri Brahma Ji, first appeared on Mount Sumeru 197 crore, 29 lakh, 49 thousand, 110 years ago, initiating the cycle of creation.
The Framework of Indian History
India's glorious history is divided into four ages (Yugas) according to the scientific Indian system of time calculation:
- Devayuga (Age of Gods): Lasting 10,000 years from the beginning.
- Brahmayuga (Age of Brahma): From 197.29 crore years ago to 12.05 crore years ago.
- Kshatrayuga (Age of Warriors): From 12.05 crore years ago to 5,110 years ago.
- Kaliyuga (The Current Age): The last 5,110 years.
The Mahabharata serves as the dividing line in this long history. History writing must be character-building, culturally enriching, and supportive of Dharma.
